Long-deserved honor a reality: Edmund Vallejo honored for duty as Navy photographer

It’s been 61 years since Edmund Vallejo left the battlefields of Korea.

He served on combat missions risking his life almost daily as he recorded the history of the war through photographs.
Reps. Leroy Garcia, D-Pueblo, and Ed Vigil, D-[Fort Garland], held a special ceremony Saturday at Pueblo’s Vietnam Memorial to recognize Vallejo for earning numerous Naval service awards.
